Above is the first drawing of Jed Jr. This was at a time when gimmicks and high-priced first issues were all the rage, hence the gigantic fold-out cover on a piece of paper I stole from art class.

This one has a cover price of $14.95 and has a “special polybagged die-cut fold-out cover with a pop-up light ‘n sound (batteries not included) centerfold. Contains 45 cards, 1 prism card, 1 scratch ‘n sniff card, 1 holographix card which all form into a five-page comic. Also comes with a coupon for Jed Jr. #0 and a piece of stock. Pin ups by Miller, McFarlane, Larsen, Jim Lee, Jae Lee, and Sam Keith.”

It also has the original slogan of “Imagine Home Alone but with automatic weapons.”
